Project details
The gutter and downpipes were partially blocked by leaves and debris. Because of the blockage, the old downpipes had become heavily corroded and had to be replaced. The goal was a cost-efficient repair so the entire gutter did not need immediate replacement. Overhanging branches were also causing repeated debris build-up in the gutter.
We replaced two downpipes and restored safe water drainage. The existing gutter was thoroughly cleaned and selectively sealed instead of being replaced in full. To prevent renewed blockage, we installed a leaf guard in the gutter. Additionally, we trimmed back risky and overhanging branches near the roof so less debris can fall into the gutter in the future.
Roof drainage works reliably again and rainwater is discharged in a controlled way. By replacing the corroded pipes and sealing the gutter, we delivered an economical solution. Leaf protection and branch trimming significantly reduce the risk of new blockages. Important: Cases like this should be handled early, before corrosion and follow-up costs increase further.
For blocked gutters, early maintenance is usually cheaper than waiting: cleaning, targeted sealing, and replacing failed downpipes often avoids a full replacement.
