Project details
An existing chimney ran through the pitched tiled roof surface. After decommissioning, the penetration and connections had to be sealed watertight. Limited space on the roof required a step-by-step dismantling. The roof structure was not allowed to be damaged in the process.
We dismantled only the upper part of the chimney down to approximately half height and removed the material in an orderly way. In the work area, we lifted the roof tiles, professionally closed the opening in the underlay/roof build-up, and lapped all connections correctly. After that, we reinstalled the tiles cleanly and checked all edge details for watertightness. Finally, we cleaned the work area and removed loose parts.
The upper part of the chimney is removed, and the remaining structure is cleanly integrated. The former opening is professionally closed, and the tiles are laid flat again. The roof surface is weatherproof again and technically cleanly restored.
For decommissioned chimneys, removal with a clean roof closure prevents future leaks at old connection points.
