Project details
There was only limited space in the existing access area for positioning the posts. We had to place the roof edge so that the gate and access remained unobstructed. Defined drainage was required due to the adjacent surfaces.
We erected the timber load-bearing structure, braced it, and aligned it plumb. We screwed down the trapezoidal sheet metal with sealing screws into the crown ribs. We executed the verge and eaves termination with sheet-metal flashings. We installed a gutter with downpipe and connected it to the drainage outlet.
The carport provides a weather-protected parking space with clear drainage. The roof is watertight, and the fixings are evenly set. The structure is stably braced and easily accessible for everyday use.
We use trapezoidal sheet metal when we need a low build-up height and want a fast, robust roof covering.
