Project details
The existing terrace build-up had been executed improperly and was heavily deteriorated. Moisture ingress had already damaged and corroded parts of the timber structure. The roof surface below the decking was also affected and required proper technical refurbishment before rebuilding.
We fully removed the old surface and damaged layers and thoroughly cleaned the area. Non-load-bearing and corroded structural timber parts were replaced. We re-waterproofed the flat roof with bitumen strips. On top, we installed a new WPC deck as the weatherproof final surface.
The roof area is properly sealed again and the structural damage has been resolved. The new WPC surface provides a robust, weatherproof and low-maintenance terrace. The terrace is now technically sound and visually clean for long-term use.
For terrace refurbishments on flat roofs, long-term performance depends on the waterproofing under the deck. The final surface comes after that.
